This roof's got quite the zig-zag on it! And flagcrete walls that wrap all the way around the building!

An homage to the can-do attitude of architects and designers of the 1950s & 1960s, when the American and specifically Californian attitude said that man can do anything that he could imagine. Googie architecture reflected a space-age optimism that is being slowly demolished throughout the county as “progress” claims that boomerangs & sputniks are tacky & kitsch. The Orange County Googie Archive aims to document the remaining examples of Googie architecture in Orange County, while they last.

You should go check out Carl's Liquor in Fullerton - you'd love the sign!
Carl's Liquor does have a great sign! I need to get into North County more often. :)
Hi-Crest is half a block from where my mom used to live. Whenever I visited my mom, I would always walk down to this liquor store to get a little half pint.
